dhtmlgoodies.com - A library of DHTML and AJAX scripts

July 17th, 2006

A friend of mine sent me a link to dhtmlgoodies.com a while back but I’ve never really had a decent look at the site.

Last night I finally went through some of the scripts and I have to admit they are all pretty awesome. What is best is that most if not all the script work in all the major browsers. This is a great resource for software developers and website owners.

My favourite DHTML scripts have to be the drag and drops. They are fantasic! I’m definately implementing some of these into my scripts.

Test your website in Safari… Better than iCapture…

June 26th, 2006

I added a post back in March titled Safari Screenshots of your website - iCapture… I recently went to the iCapture website and it doesn’t appear to be functioning properly. There are about 1,000 screen shots in the que which will take hours to process.
I remember someone telling me about another site similar to iCapture called Snugtech.com. Enter the URL, the screen width and you’re away. Perfect screen shots of your website in Safari in seconds.

The full URL is: http://snugtech.com/safaritest/

500 GHz IBM Chip Breaks Speed Record

June 23rd, 2006

Researchers at IBM and Georgia Tech said Tuesday that they had created the first silicon-based chip capable of operating at speeds of over 500 GHz. The processor beat the previous speed record by 125 gigahertz, and is some 125 times faster than today’s fastest chips.

500 GHz??? That’s insane! What would you use a 500 GHz chip for?

Email Address Encoder - “The Enkoder”

April 12th, 2006

Check out what I found:

“Posting your email address on a website is a sure-fire way to get an Inbox full of unsolicited email advertisements. The Enkoder protects email addresses by converting them into encrypted JavaScript code, hiding them from email-harvesting robots while revealing them to real people.”

Enter your details into their form and it will give you some code that looks like this:

function hivelogic_enkoder(){var kode=
“kode=\”nrgh@%qujkC(txmnF+w{pqI.z~stL1J8k1Mp>K|~r=_333_4::t_333O_333_4::t_3″+

"de(c)}kode=x"

Paste that code on your webpage and presto! Don’t think any robots can figure out your email address from that code…
